Funding of Honors Campaigns

A critical aspect of conducting an Honors Campaign involves covering any expenses incurred in the campaign. While the OKMHF cannot anticipate or adequately provide all the funding necessary for campaigns over the state, it will provide assistance in acquiring financial support. Veterans being honored through a campaign should not be asked to pay for their transportation, meals or lodging, and ideally neither should participating students. The OKMHF through a campaign’s assigned ambassador will help to calculate anticipated expenses for your effort, and plan methods to raise supporting funds. Seeking financial support from local businesses, interested citizens, and veterans and other civic groups is the recommended method of securing funding.

The OKMHF also offers grants to Honors Campaign efforts that fall short of needed revenues. Appendix F contains an Honors Trip Planning Sheet & Application form in which a request for grant support may be made.
